So stand up and walk as often as possible. It actually just slows you down and makes the game harder (takes longer to get anywhere, and staying in the same place in this game just makes enemies more likely to come to you, you have to stay ahead to stay safe). A lot of people crouch-walk everywhere thinking that it helps. Sometimes it seems like enemies can hear these things as they find you as you are doing them, but it's just coincidence - it just means they SAW you doing one of these things.Īlso, walking makes very little noise.

I see a lot of people playing the game on Youtube, and when they go in a locker or blowtorch a door they say "Why does the locker door slam so loud!?" or "This blowtorch is too loud, the alien will hear me!".īut doors, vent hatches, locker slamming, using the blowtorch - they're all "silent". Yeah, environmental things DON'T attract attention.

So, the only resort to this game is, wait untill Alien is gone back to vents? Ridiculously though, even I'm in the vent, and Alien is on top of me or just lurking around, going through the vent could trigger the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ noticing my position, I mean, wtf Sometimes just dare to sneak when Alien is far away. I literally prohibit myself from running now, everything runs down to sneak or walk, rarely run. Seen other people beat this game, are we playing different games? Not to mention it's even more crazier after I got the flamethrower, it is more frequent to show up lurking in my area and sometimes would jump out of my nearest ceiling vent while I'm just checking the terminal. Everytime the Xenomorph arrives out of vents I'd have to wait untill it goes back to vents again, very exhausting and time consuming. Alien basically tracks me anything, run, walk, and sneak. Set to hard mode, mid game took me 15 hours. I now feel like more and more I'm playing a different game than any others. Using a rewire station (but actions caused by rewiring can create sounds and attract enemies). Moving items like office chairs don't seem to cause enemies to notice you either. Neither does blowtorching a hatch and slamming it on floor after removal. Sounds that don't attract attention: Locker doors and in general doors of any kind don't cause much reaction. Flare that has just been ignited does not cause enemies to see it, but after couple seconds as it starts burning with bright light causes anyone still holding it will be spotted. Running.įlamethrower and molotov emit light and can be spotted. Sometimes opening a hatch inside a vent using handles seems to cause enemies to notice your action. Motion tracker sounds can be noticed by the enemies from close range if you are holding it out and scanning. Certain actions that are programmed to cause enemy activation (scripted stuff). Sounds that attract attention: Certain gadgets: Noisemaker, Flashbang, upgraded gadgets with beep function (class 3). Normal game would give you much reward than in the early game, but this game is different, no big rewards, like just "for realness" the nerves tingles always company you around, which makes the game too long.Ĭertain sounds, flashlight, briefly spotting you leads them to investigate the area. The pace is always keeping you not too fast, as long as you get fast, you would get a straight cut, and throw out the Alien, Invincible Androids, and more Aliens, and some cheesy equipped humans. Which, in the near end gameplay, everything just starts to get stale, some unnecessary horrors just make the game very annoying. Honestly though, I'm annoyed by the last part of the game, the game is constantly keeping players to get thrills, by all kinds of means. This game has been poured so much resources to finish such a scale and plot. We know sound definitely, but need more trivial things would trigger they come to you.ĮDIT: Just beat the game for 22 hours, swtich to normal difficulty and the world lights up. Minding giving a list of things that would attract enemies?
